In this drill there are several goals;1)teach the athlete HOW to be efficient with their footwork finishing on run outs. 2)teach the athlete to cover maximum distance with as few steps as possible.3)teach the athlete to be explosives using as few steps as possible. Very important skill!4) teach the athlete decelerate, cutting at sharp angles, using "wide receiver technique chop steps."5) Teach the athlete to slow down and burst to the basket.
