D.J. Wagner of Camden (NJ) is a 2022-23 MaxPreps High School Basketball Player of the Year Finalist

The 6-foot-3 senior guard led the Panthers to a 23-2 record and the No. 5 spot in the MaxPreps Top 25 at the time of his selection. Wagner averaged 22.5 points, 3.3 rebounds and 3.0 assists per game this season. He scored a career-high 40 points in back-to-back games last month on the way to making his family the first to have three generations pass the 2,000-point threshold. He joins grandfather Milt and father Dajuan – who both played in the NBA – on the vaunted point plateau.
