In Friday's league game, the visiting Cabrillo Jaguars baseball team scored a tight 9-5 victory over the Compton Tarbabes.
The Jaguars (2-21) will now prepare for their game against Woodrow Wilson (Long Beach, CA). The Bruins go into the Moore game with a 16-10 record. In their last game, Woodrow Wilson was overwhelmed by Lakewood (Lakewood, CA), 7-1, in a league game.
The Tarbabes (8-8) will now prepare for their game against Long Beach Poly (Long Beach, CA). The Jackrabbits go into the Moore game with a 13-13 record. In their last game, Long Beach Poly was overwhelmed by Millikan (Long Beach, CA), 9-2, in a league game.

The Cabrillo Jaguars continued to spoil what started out as a very promising season for the 'Babes of Compton' by sending them to their eight straight defeat after beginning the non-conference season with a perfect 8-0 record. In the second Moore League encounter between these two teams, it was the Jags that prevailed and beat the 'Babes' 9-5. Coach John Thompson has tried every conceiviable way to get his team to play with more confidence and cut down on the errors that once again lead the Moore League through 8 games. In the first inning both Cabrillo and Compton came up with two runs each and that score held up until the Jags added three runs in both the third and fourth innings. Through four complete innings, it was Cabrillo that took over at that point with a commanding 8-3 lead en route to it's second victory in league play. Next up for Compton is the Jackrabbits of Long Beach Poly who crushed the 'Babes' 19-0 back on April 2nd at CHS.
