Alex Neve has been named player of the year. "Congratulations to Alex Neve (Junior Inf/P) for his selection as Player-of-the-Year. The second year varsity member was NCL II Co-MVP with teamate/classmate Dusty Oliver. Alex lead the Mustangs in BA (.458), Hits (33), 2B (8), SF (4), pitching wins (6), appearances (13), and games started (8). Defensively Alex committed just one error in 56 chances and was second on the team with a .982 fielding percentage. Over the last two seasons the Mustangs are 41-9 with back-to-back North Central League II Championships and have now made eight consecutive CIF-NCS Championships including the school's fifth Championship in 2008. In collecting 33 hits Neve has a total of 65 in two seasons with 22 multiple hit games (11 each season) and a cumulative batting average of .445."
