The Waverly/South Shore Coyotes basketball team (Waverly, SD), was overwhelmed 51-13 in Monday's league battle with the host Northwestern Area Wildcats (Mellette, SD)

The Wildcats now possess a 2-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Hitchcock-Tulare for a B Region 1 battle on Thursday, January 5. Northwestern Area will confront a Patriots team coming off a 55-28 non-league win over Crazy Horse (Wanblee, SD). The Patriots record now stands at 3-0.

The Coyotes (1-5) will now prepare for their battle against Leola/Frederick (Leola, SD). The Titans come into the B Region 1 battle with a 1-1 record.
