January 2, 2024: New Hope, MN 55428 Fans at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Fridley Tigers (Fridley, MN) and the host Robbinsdale Cooper Hawks (New Hope, MN), saw Fridley's basketball squad hold off Robbinsdale Cooper by a tally of 72-67.
With the victory, Fridley improves its record to 6-0 on the campaign. The Tigers travel to St. Louis Park (St. Louis Park, MN) to confront the Orioles in a non-league challenge on Thursday, January 4. The Orioles come into the challenge with a record of 4-6. St. Louis Park won 86-78 in their recent non-league challenge against Hastings (Hastings, MN)
Next up, the Hawks confront the Richfield Spartans (Richfield, MN) in a AAA Section 6 challenge, on Friday, January 5. Robbinsdale Cooper will attempt to improve on its 3-5 season record. The Spartans come into the challenge with a 3-6 record after their 89-84 non-league loss to Delano (Delano, MN).
