The Central Knights basketball team scored 78 points and held the visiting Westerly Bulldogs to 53 in the Knights league triumph on Tuesday.

The Knights now sport a 5-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to North Kingstown for a State Championship contest on Thursday, January 5. Central will meet a Skippers team coming off a 60-44 league loss to Mt. Pleasant (Providence, RI). The Skippers record now stands at 2-4.

The Bulldogs (4-3) will now prepare for their contest against Smithfield (Esmond, RI). The Sentinels enter the State Championship contest with a 2-3 record.
