Southwood Cowboys (Shreveport, LA) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Parkway Panthers (Bossier City, LA), 60-58 in a league bout.

With the win, Southwood upgrades its record to 7-8 on the season. The Cowboys host Benton (Benton, LA) to play the Tigers in a 5A District 1 bout on Friday, January 6. The Tigers go into the bout with a record of 8-7. Benton won 48-38 in their recent league bout against Byrd (Shreveport, LA)

Next up, the Panthers play the Byrd Yellow Jackets (Shreveport, LA) in a 5A District 1 bout, on Friday, January 6. Parkway will attempt to upgrade on its 7-6 season record. The Yellow Jackets go into the bout with a 3-10 record after their 48-38 league loss to Benton (Benton, LA).
