Louisiana High School Basketball - Southwood nips Parkway
January 27, 2023: Bossier City, LA 71112 Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Southwood Cowboys (Shreveport, LA) and the host Parkway Panthers (Bossier City, LA), saw Southwood's basketball squad hold off Parkway by a tally of 52-50.
With the victory, Southwood improves its record to 16-9 on the campaign. The Cowboys travel to Benton (Benton, LA) to play the Tigers in a 5A District 1 challenge on Tuesday, January 31. The Tigers come into the challenge with a record of 10-11. Benton lost 54-45 in their recent league challenge against Byrd (Shreveport, LA)
Next up, the Panthers play the Byrd Yellow Jackets (Shreveport, LA) in a 5A District 1 challenge, on Tuesday, January 31. Parkway will attempt to improve on its 12-13 season record. The Yellow Jackets come into the challenge with a 7-14 record after their 54-45 league win over Benton (Benton, LA).
