In Wednesday's league outing, the Patton Panthers (Morganton, NC) basketball squad nipped the visiting Brevard Blue Devils (Brevard, NC), by a margin of 63-58.

The Panthers (12-2) will now prepare for their outing against East Rutherford (Forest City, NC). The Cavaliers go into the 1A/2A Mountain Foothills outing with a 6-6 record.

The Blue Devils now own a 7-6 record. They play next when they travel to R-S Central for a 1A/2A Mountain Foothills outing on Friday, January 5. Brevard will clash with a Hilltoppers squad coming off a 71-49 non-league win over Pickens (Pickens, SC). The Hilltoppers record now stands at 4-9.
