Willamette Wolverines (Eugene, OR) backers were pleased Wednesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Springfield Millers (Springfield, OR), 44-43 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Willamette upgrades its record to 2-10 on the campaign. The Wolverines host The Dalles (The Dalles, OR) to play the Riverhawks in a non-league bout on Saturday, January 6. The Riverhawks come into the bout with a record of 7-3. The Dalles won 73-67 in their recent non-league bout against Pendleton (Pendleton, OR)
