Louisiana High School Basketball - Slaughter Community Charter nips Capitol
January 4, 2024: Baton Rouge, LA 70802 Slaughter Community Charter Knights (Slaughter, LA) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Capitol Lions (Baton Rouge, LA), 59-56 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Slaughter Community Charter upgrades its record to 2-4 on the season. The Knights host Broadmoor (Baton Rouge, LA) to play the Buccaneers in a non-league bout on Friday, January 5. The Buccaneers go into the bout with a record of 1-14. Broadmoor lost 63-11 in their recent non-league bout against Carver Collegiate Academy (New Orleans, LA)
Next up, the Lions play the Istrouma Indians (Baton Rouge, LA) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 9. Capitol will attempt to upgrade on its 4-9 season record. The Indians go into the bout with a 10-8 record after their 93-91 non-league win over Episcopal (Baton Rouge, LA).
