January 4, 2025: Groton, SD 57445 The Groton Tigers (Groton, SD) basketball crushed the visiting Redfield Pheasants (Redfield, SD), 86-11 in Saturday's league bout.
The Tigers now possess a 3-2 record. They play next when they host Warner for a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 7. Groton will play a Monarchs team coming off a 50-41 league win over Northwestern Area (Mellette, SD). The Monarchs record now stands at 4-1.
With the loss, Redfield falls to 0-2 on the campaign. The Pheasants travel to Langford (Langford, SD) to play the Lions in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 7. The Lions go into the bout with a record of 1-4. Langford won 59-54 in their recent non-league game against Burke (Burke, SD)
