Florida High School Basketball - River Ridge nips Gulf
January 5, 2023: New Port Richey, FL 34652 Fans at Thursday's league challenge between the River Ridge Royal Knights (New Port Richey, FL) and the host Gulf Buccaneers (New Port Richey, FL), saw River Ridge's basketball squad hold off Gulf by a count of 76-73.
With the victory, River Ridge upgrades its record to 10-5 on the campaign. The Royal Knights travel to Mitchell (New Port Richey, FL) to play the Mustangs in a non-league challenge on Saturday, January 7. The Mustangs come into the challenge with a record of 8-6. Mitchell won 74-54 in their recent non-league challenge against Fivay (Hudson, FL)
Next up, the Buccaneers play the Fivay Falcons (Hudson, FL) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, January 9. Gulf will attempt to upgrade on its 1-8 season record. The Falcons come into the challenge with a 4-10 record after their 74-54 non-league loss to Mitchell (New Port Richey, FL).
