Maryland High School Basketball - Paul VI overwhelms Our Lady of Good Counsel

January 5, 2023: Olney, MD 20853

Fans at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Paul VI Panthers (Chantilly, VA) and the host Our Lady of Good Counsel Falcons (Olney, MD), saw Paul VI's basketball squad wallop Our Lady of Good Counsel by a tally of 74-45.

With the victory, Paul VI improves its record to 11-1 on the campaign. The Panthers host Bishop O'Connell (Arlington, VA) to play the Knights in a VISAA Division I challenge on Saturday, January 7. The Knights come into the challenge with a record of 6-5. Bishop O'Connell won 81-65 in their recent non-league challenge against St. Mary's Ryken (Leonardtown, MD)

Next up, the Falcons play the St. Mary's Ryken Knights (Leonardtown, MD) in a Washington Catholic challenge, on Monday, January 9. Our Lady of Good Counsel will attempt to improve on its 10-4 season record. The Knights come into the challenge with a 5-9 record after their 48-30 non-league win over Douglass (Upper Marlboro, MD).
