Virginia High School Basketball - Bishop Ireton falls to Our Lady of Good Counsel
January 27, 2023: Alexandria, VA 22314 In Friday's non-league match, the visiting Our Lady of Good Counsel Falcons basketball team scored a good 72-52 triumph over the Bishop Ireton Cardinals.
In their next game, the Falcons meet the Archbishop Carroll Lions (Washington, DC) in a DCSAA AA match, on Tuesday, January 31. Our Lady of Good Counsel will attempt to better on its 14-8 season record. The Lions enter the match with a 6-13 record after their 90-52 league loss to DeMatha (Hyattsville, MD).
With the defeat, Bishop Ireton moves to 11-10 on the year. The Cardinals host St. Mary's Ryken (Leonardtown, MD) to meet the Knights in a non-league match on Tuesday, January 31.
