Colorado High School Basketball - Discovery Canyon tops Sierra

January 5, 2023: Colorado Springs, CO 80921

Discovery Canyon Thunder (Colorado Springs, CO) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Sierra Stallions (Colorado Springs, CO), 48-35 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Discovery Canyon upgrades its record to 7-3 on the campaign. The Thunder travel to Elizabeth (Elizabeth, CO) to play the Cardinals in a non-league bout on Friday, January 6. The Cardinals come into the bout with a record of 5-4. Elizabeth lost 55-18 in their recent non-league bout against Holy Family (Broomfield, CO)

Next up, the Stallions play the Pueblo East Eagles (Pueblo, CO) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, January 7. Sierra will attempt to upgrade on its 1-6 season record. The Eagles come into the bout with a 2-9 record after their 42-27 non-league loss to Lewis-Palmer (Monument, CO).
