The Moriah (Port Henry, NY) varsity basketball team won Friday's home conference game against AuSable Valley (Clintonville, NY) by a score of 86-34.
The Moriah Vikings basketball team scored 86 points and held the visiting AuSable Valley Patriots to 34 in the Vikings league triumph on Friday.
The Vikings now sport a 3-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Beekmantown for a Section 7 Champlain Valley I contest on Monday, January 8. Moriah will battle a Eagles team coming off a 52-38 non-league win over Ogdensburg Free Academy (Ogdensburg, NY). The Eagles record now stands at 4-2.
The Patriots (1-5) will now prepare for their contest against Northeastern Clinton (Champlain, NY). The Cougars enter the Section 7 Champlain Valley I contest with a 3-5 record. In their last contest, Northeastern Clinton was routed by Plattsburgh (Plattsburgh, NY), 59-32, in a league contest.
