The Central Crossing Comets basketball team (Grove City, OH), was overwhelmed 75-23 in Friday's league battle with the visiting Newark Wildcats (Newark, OH)

The Wildcats now possess a 5-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Zanesville for a non-league battle on Saturday, January 6. Newark will confront a Blue Devils team coming off a 57-28 non-league loss to West Holmes (Millersburg, OH). The Blue Devils record now stands at 1-10.

The Comets (5-6) will now prepare for their battle against Reynoldsburg (Reynoldsburg, OH). The Raiders come into the Ohio Capital - Buckeye battle with a 9-4 record. In their last battle, Reynoldsburg trounced Lancaster (Lancaster, OH), 80-56, in a league battle.
