Ohio High School Basketball - Newark nudges Central Crossing

Newark Wildcats (Newark, OH) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Central Crossing Comets (Grove City, OH), 51-48 in a league bout.

With the win, Newark upgrades its record to 8-11 on the season. The Wildcats travel to Logan (Logan, OH) to clash with the Chieftains in a non-league bout on Monday, February 5. The Chieftains go into the bout with a record of 6-13. Logan lost 45-43 in their recent non-league bout against Jackson (Jackson, OH)

Next up, the Comets clash with the Reynoldsburg Raiders (Reynoldsburg, OH) in a Ohio Capital - Buckeye bout, on Friday, February 9. Central Crossing will attempt to upgrade on its 7-14 season record. The Raiders go into the bout with a 15-6 record after their 61-54 league win over Lancaster (Lancaster, OH).
