North Carolina High School Basketball - Swain County ripped by Cherokee

January 5, 2024: Bryson City, NC 28713

The Cherokee Braves basketball team scored 77 points and held the host Swain County Maroon Devils to 23 in the Braves league triumph on Friday.

The Braves now sport a 11-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Highlands for a 1A Smoky Mountain contest on Tuesday, January 9. Cherokee will battle a Highlanders team coming off a 45-29 league loss to Robbinsville (Robbinsville, NC). The Highlanders record now stands at 1-12.

The Maroon Devils (4-8) will now prepare for their contest against Towns County (Hiawassee, GA). The Indians enter the non-league contest with a 10-4 record. In their last contest, Towns County triumphed over Warren County (Warrenton, GA), 66-52, in a league contest.
