In Friday's league match, the visiting West Carteret Patriots basketball team scored a decisive 83-37 triumph over the Croatan Cougars.

In their next game, the Patriots face the White Oak Vikings (Jacksonville, NC) in a 3A Conference 16 match, on Tuesday, January 10. West Carteret will attempt to move on its 9-3 season record.
