In Friday's non-league outing, the East Carteret Mariners (Beaufort, NC) basketball squad beat the visiting Croatan Cougars (Newport, NC), by a margin of 67-53.

The Mariners (4-1) will now prepare for their outing against Washington (Washington, NC). The Pam Pack go into the non-league outing with a 1-1 record. In their last outing, Washington defeated Camden County (Camden, NC), 52-51, in a non-league outing.

The Cougars now own a 3-2 record. They play next when they travel to West Craven for a non-league outing on Tuesday, December 6. Croatan will clash with a Eagles squad coming off a 67-42 non-league loss to Swansboro (Swansboro, NC). The Eagles record now stands at 0-1.
