Fans at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the East Carteret Mariners (Beaufort, NC) and the host Croatan Cougars (Newport, NC), saw East Carteret's basketball squad knock off Croatan by a tally of 62-54.

With the victory, East Carteret improves its record to 2-0 on the campaign. The Mariners travel to West Carteret (Morehead City, NC) to play the Patriots in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, November 29. The Patriots come into the challenge with a record of 1-1. West Carteret lost 74-60 in their recent non-league challenge against Kinston (Kinston, NC)

Next up, the Cougars play the South Lenoir Blue Devils (Deep Run, NC) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, November 29. Croatan will attempt to improve on its 2-1 season record.
