The Chesterton Trojans basketball team (Chesterton, IN), was toppled 80-71 in Saturday's league battle with the host Merrillville Pirates (Merrillville, IN)

The Pirates now possess a 6-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Crown Point for a Duneland battle on Friday, January 12. Merrillville will confront a Bulldogs team coming off a 66-60 league win over Michigan City (Michigan City, IN). The Bulldogs record now stands at 7-3.

The Trojans (6-5) will now prepare for their battle against Laporte (Laporte, MN). The Wildcats come into the non-league battle with a 4-9 record.
