The Chesterton Trojans (Chesterton, IN) basketball knocked off the visiting Merrillville Pirates (Merrillville, IN), 74-54 in Saturday's league test.

The Trojans (7-4) will now prepare for their test against La Porte (La Porte, IN). The Slicers go into the Duneland test with a 8-4 record.

The Pirates now own a 6-3 record. They play next when they host Crown Point for a Duneland test on Friday, January 13. Merrillville will encounter a Bulldogs squad coming off a 64-53 league win over Michigan City (Michigan City, IN). The Bulldogs record now stands at 6-6.
