The River Ridge Royal Knights (New Port Richey, FL) basketball crushed the host Mitchell Mustangs (New Port Richey, FL), 72-45 in Saturday's non-league test.

The Royal Knights (13-5) will now prepare for their test against Wiregrass Ranch (Wesley Chapel, FL). The Bulls go into the non-league test with a 9-5 record. In their last test, Wiregrass Ranch was trounced by Sunlake (Land O' Lakes, FL), 61-41, in a league test.

The Mustangs now own a 8-7 record. They play next when they host Pasco for a non-league test on Monday, January 9. Mitchell will encounter a Pirates squad coming off a 50-38 non-league loss to Hernando (Brooksville, FL). The Pirates record now stands at 0-11.
