The crowd at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Silverado Skyhawks (Las Vegas, NV) and the visiting Canyon Springs Pioneers (North Las Vegas, NV), observed Silverado's basketball team edge Canyon Springs by a margin of 60-56.

The Skyhawks (5-9) will now prepare for their challenge against Coronado (Henderson, NV). The Cougars come into the 5A Southern challenge with a 4-9 record. In their last challenge, Coronado was tipped by St. John Bosco (Bellflower, CA), 62-61, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Pioneers battle the Desert Oasis Diamondbacks (Las Vegas, NV) in a 4A Lake challenge, on Thursday, January 9. Canyon Springs will attempt to better on its 6-9 season record. The Diamondbacks come into the challenge with a 5-6 record after their 71-49 non-league win over Western (Las Vegas, NV).
