January 7, 2025: St. James, LA 70090 The Assumption Mustangs (Napoleonville, LA) basketball toppled the host St. James Wildcats (St. James, LA), 44-30 in Tuesday's non-league bout.
The Mustangs now possess a 6-10 record. They play next when they travel to Covington for a non-league bout on Thursday, January 9. Assumption will play a Lions team coming off a 61-21 league loss to Mandeville (Mandeville, LA). The Lions record now stands at 4-8.
With the loss, St. James falls to 4-6 on the campaign. The Wildcats host E.D. White (Thibodaux, LA) to play the Cardinals in a non-league bout on Friday, January 10. The Cardinals go into the bout with a record of 14-2. E.D. White lost 43-34 in their recent non-league bout against Bourgeois (Gray, LA)
