Mississippi High School Basketball - Ingomar thwarts South Pontotoc
January 7, 2025: New Albany, MS 38652 The crowd at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Ingomar Falcons (New Albany, MS) and the visiting South Pontotoc Cougars (Pontotoc, MS), observed Ingomar's basketball team knock off South Pontotoc by a score of 55-39.
The Falcons (17-1) will now prepare for their challenge against West Union (Myrtle, MS). The Eagles come into the non-league challenge with a 5-13 record. In their last challenge, West Union was knocked off by Alcorn Central (Glen, MS), 45-33, in a non-league challenge.
In their next game, the Cougars encounter the Byhalia Indians (Byhalia, MS) in a 4A Region 2 challenge, on Friday, January 10. South Pontotoc will attempt to improve on its 13-3 season record. The Indians come into the challenge with a 0-10 record after their 48-22 league loss to North Pontotoc (Ecru, MS).
