Texas High School Basketball - Eula overwhelms Bronte
January 8, 2024: Clyde, TX 79510 Fans at Monday's non-league challenge between the Eula Pirates (Clyde, TX) and the visiting Bronte Longhorns (Bronte, TX), saw Eula's basketball squad wallop Bronte by a tally of 65-22.
With the victory, Eula improves its record to 18-3 on the campaign. The Pirates host Rising Star (Rising Star, TX) to play the Wildcats in a 1A Region II District 13 challenge on Friday, January 12. The Wildcats go into the test with a record of 8-4. Rising Star won 60-15 in their recent non-league test against Lometa (Lometa, TX)
The Longhorns now own a 6-14 record. They play next when they host Robert Lee for a 1A Region II District 11 test on Thursday, January 11. Bronte will encounter a Steers squad coming off a 67-6 non-league win over Paint Rock (Paint Rock, TX). The Steers record now stands at 17-5.
