January 8, 2024: Great Mills, MD 20634 Fans at Monday's non-league challenge between the Great Mills Hornets (Great Mills, MD) and the visiting Laurel Spartans (Laurel, MD), saw Great Mills's basketball squad wallop Laurel by a tally of 60-18.
With the victory, Great Mills improves its record to 5-1 on the campaign. The Hornets host McDonough (Pomfret, MD) to play the Rams in a non-league challenge on Wednesday, January 10. The Rams come into the challenge with a record of 5-1. McDonough won 53-34 in their recent non-league challenge against Leonardtown (Leonardtown, MD)
Next up, the Spartans play the Northwestern Wildcats (Hyattsville, MD) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, January 18. Laurel will attempt to improve on its 1-2 season record.
