Illinois High School Basketball - Auburn nips Riverton
January 9, 2024: Riverton, IL 62561 Auburn Trojans (Auburn, IL) supporters were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Riverton Hawks (Riverton, IL), 57-50 in a non-league challenge.
With the victory, Auburn improves its record to 15-2 on the campaign. The Trojans travel to Pawnee (Pawnee, IL) to confront the Indians in a non-league challenge on Wednesday, January 10. The Indians come into the challenge with a record of 6-9. Pawnee won 48-42 in their recent non-league challenge against Calvary (Springfield, IL)
Next up, the Hawks confront the Athens Warriors (Athens, IL) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, January 11. Riverton will attempt to improve on its 12-3 season record. The Warriors come into the challenge with a 11-6 record after their 41-28 non-league loss to Williamsville (Williamsville, IL).
