January 9, 2024: Mitchell, SD 57301 Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Mitchell Kernels (Mitchell, SD) and the visiting Huron Tigers (Huron, SD), saw Mitchell's basketball squad overcome Huron by a tally of 67-56.
With the victory, Mitchell improves its record to 8-1 on the campaign. The Kernels travel to Brookings (Brookings, SD) to confront the Bobcats in a AA challenge on Friday, January 12. The Bobcats come into the challenge with a record of 1-6. Brookings lost 70-48 in their recent league challenge against Brandon Valley (Brandon, SD)
Next up, the Tigers confront the Lincoln Patriots (Sioux Falls, SD) in a AA challenge, on Friday, January 12. Huron will attempt to improve on its 4-4 season record. The Patriots come into the challenge with a 5-3 record after their 65-45 league win over Aberdeen Central (Aberdeen, SD).
