The Mount Vernon Mustangs basketball team scored 69 points and held the host Mount Pisgah Christian Patriots to 43 in the Mustangs league triumph on Tuesday.

The Mustangs now sport a 10-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to The Weber School for a A D1 Region 6 contest on Thursday, January 11. Mount Vernon will meet a Rams team coming off a 79-54 league loss to St. Francis (Alpharetta, GA). The Rams record now stands at 3-8.

The Patriots (5-12) will now prepare for their contest against Whitefield Academy (Mableton, GA). The WolfPack enter the A D1 Region 6 contest with a 5-10 record. In their last contest, Whitefield Academy was routed by Rocky River (Mint Hill, NC), 82-80, in a non-league contest.
