The Virginia City Muckers basketball team scored 61 points and restricted the visiting Sage Ridge Scorpions to 23 in the Muckers league victory on Tuesday.

The Muckers now sport a 10-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Mineral County for a 1A West contest on Friday, January 12. Virginia City will battle a Serpents team coming off a 73-55 league win over Smith Valley (Smith, NV). The Serpents record now stands at 8-7.

The Scorpions (1-11) will now prepare for their contest against Pyramid Lake (Nixon, NV). The Lakers come into the 1A West contest with a 8-7 record. In their last contest, Pyramid Lake triumphed over Excel Christian (Sparks, NV), 42-38, in a league contest.
