Nevada High School Basketball - Mineral County knocked off by Virginia City

The Virginia City Muckers basketball team scored 71 points and held the host Mineral County Serpents to 51 in the Muckers league triumph on Friday.

The Muckers now sport a 16-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Smith Valley for a 1A West contest on Saturday, February 3. Virginia City will meet a Bulldogs team coming off a 58-20 league win over Sage Ridge (Reno, NV). The Bulldogs record now stands at 17-3.

The Serpents (14-11) will now prepare for their contest against Coleville (Coleville, CA). The Wolves enter the 1A West contest with a 1-14 record. In their last contest, Coleville was outscored by Excel Christian (Sparks, NV), 57-47, in a league contest.
