Nevada High School Basketball - Virginia City nips Owyhee
December 14, 2023: Virginia City, NV 89440 Virginia City Muckers (Virginia City, NV) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Owyhee Braves (Owyhee, NV), 77-73 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Virginia City upgrades its record to 5-3 on the season. The Muckers travel to Portola (Portola, CA) to play the Tigers in a non-league bout on Tuesday, December 19. The Tigers go into the bout with a record of 8-3. Portola won 62-44 in their recent non-league bout against Tulelake (Tulelake, CA)
Next up, the Braves play the Mineral County Serpents (Hawthorne, NV) in a non-league bout, on Friday, December 15. Owyhee will attempt to upgrade on its 8-1 season record. The Serpents go into the bout with a 3-3 record after their 62-49 non-league loss to Bishop Union (Bishop, CA).
