The Mineral County Serpents topped the host Pyramid Lake Lakers basketball team by a final score of 79-66 in Saturday's non-league game.

In their next game, the Serpents face the Whittell Warriors (Zephyr Cove, NV) in a 1A West game, on Friday, January 5. Mineral County will attempt to move on its 6-7 season record.

With the defeat, Pyramid Lake moves to 6-7 on the year. The Lakers travel to Coleville (Coleville, CA) to face the Wolves in a 1A West game on Friday, January 5. The Wolves enter the game with a record of 0-5. Coleville lost 59-38 in their recent non-league game against Lone Pine (Lone Pine, CA)
