January 10, 2023: Fairbury, IL 61739 Fans at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Morton Potters (Morton, IL) and the host Prairie Central Hawks (Fairbury, IL), saw Morton's basketball squad overcome Prairie Central by a tally of 46-38.
With the victory, Morton improves its record to 14-5 on the campaign. The Potters travel to Washington (Washington, IL) to confront the Panthers in a Chicago Public - Blue South challenge on Friday, January 13. The Panthers come into the challenge with a record of 10-8. Washington lost 51-27 in their recent league challenge against Metamora (Metamora, IL)
Next up, the Hawks confront the Rantoul Eagles (Rantoul, IL) in a Illini Prairie challenge, on Friday, January 13. Prairie Central will attempt to improve on its 15-1 season record. The Eagles come into the challenge with a 6-10 record after their 70-31 league win over Paxton-Buckley-Loda (Paxton, IL).
