Arkansas High School Basketball - Piggott overwhelmed by Walnut Ridge
January 10, 2023: Piggott, AR 72454 The Walnut Ridge Bobcats basketball team scored 71 points and restricted the host Piggott Mohawks to 47 in the Bobcats league victory on Tuesday.
The Bobcats now sport a 6-8 record. They put it on the line next when they host Newport for a 3A Region 2 contest on Saturday, January 14. Walnut Ridge will battle a Greyhounds team coming off a 44-41 league loss to Mountain View (Mountain View, AR). The Greyhounds record now stands at 7-7.
The Mohawks (6-9) will now prepare for their contest against Osceola (Osceola, AR). The Seminoles come into the 3A Region 3 contest with a 5-4 record. In their last contest, Osceola triumphed over Corning (Corning, AR), 77-47, in a league contest.
