Harrisburg Hornets (Harrisburg, AR) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the host Piggott Mohawks (Piggott, AR), 71-39 in a league bout.

With the victory, Harrisburg upgrades its record to 9-4 on the campaign. The Hornets travel to Trumann (Trumann, AR) to play the Wildcats in a non-league bout on Wednesday, December 28. The Wildcats come into the bout with a record of 2-8. Trumann won 70-62 in their recent league bout against Pocahontas (Pocahontas, AR)

Next up, the Mohawks play the Rivercrest Colts (Wilson, AR) in a 3A Region 3 bout, on Saturday, January 7. Piggott will attempt to upgrade on its 5-6 season record. The Colts come into the bout with a 1-8 record after their 71-68 non-league loss to Walnut Ridge (Walnut Ridge, AR).
