In Friday's non-league contest, the host Howells-Dodge Jaguars basketball team scored a good 51-34 triumph over the Archangels Catholic Defenders.

The Jaguars (8-3) will now prepare for their contest against Guardian Angels Central Catholic (West Point, NE). The Bluejays go into the C2 District 9 contest with a 3-5 record. In their last contest, Guardian Angels Central Catholic was topped by Wayne (Wayne, NE), 63-34, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Defenders battle the Clarkson/Leigh Patriots (Clarkson, NE) in a non-league contest, on Friday, January 17.
