In Friday's league test, the Rockwell Marshals (Eagle Mountain, UT) basketball squad knocked off the host Vanguard Academy Valiant (West Valley City, UT), by a score of 71-53.

Next, the Marshals encounter the Wayne Badgers (Bicknell, UT) in a non-league test, on Saturday, January 11. Rockwell will attempt to improve on its 4-11 season record. The Badgers come into the test with a 5-8 record after their 71-50 league win over Escalante (Escalante, UT).

The Valiant (2-2) will now prepare for their test against Intermountain Christian (Salt Lake City, UT). The Lions come into the 2A Region 16 test with a 3-9 record. In their last test, Intermountain Christian beat Utah Military Academy - Hill Field (Riverdale, UT), 77-73, in a league test.
