Parkston Trojans (Parkston, SD) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Wagner Red Raiders (Wagner, SD), 56-53 in a league bout.

With the win, Parkston upgrades its record to 8-2 on the season. The Trojans travel to Bon Homme (Tyndall, SD) to play the Cavaliers in a A Region 5 bout on Thursday, January 18. The Cavaliers go into the bout with a record of 4-4.

Next up, the Red Raiders play the O'Neill Eagles (O'Neill, NE) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 16. Wagner will attempt to upgrade on its 4-4 season record.
