January 11, 2025: New Berlin, IL 62670 The crowd at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Teutopolis Wooden Shoes (Teutopolis, IL) and the host New Berlin Pretzels (New Berlin, IL), observed Teutopolis's basketball team overwhelm New Berlin by a score of 58-34.
The Wooden Shoes (11-4) will now prepare for their challenge against St. Joseph-Ogden (St. Joseph, IL). The Spartans come into the non-league challenge with a 9-5 record. In their last challenge, St. Joseph-Ogden trounced Warrensburg-Latham (Warrensburg, IL), 59-49, in a non-league challenge.
In their next game, the Pretzels encounter the Tri-City Tornadoes (Buffalo, IL) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, January 21. New Berlin will attempt to improve on its 7-5 season record. The Tornadoes come into the challenge with a 9-9 record after their 50-44 non-league win over Pawnee (Pawnee, IL).
