January 11, 2025: Mt. Vernon, SD 57363 The Mt. Vernon/Plankinton Titans (Mt. Vernon, SD) basketball crushed the visiting Garretson Blue Dragons (Garretson, SD), 35-13 in Saturday's non-league bout.
The Titans now possess a 5-2 record. They play next when they host Wessington Springs for a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 14. Mt. Vernon/Plankinton will play a Spartans team coming off a 62-30 non-league loss to Ethan (Ethan, SD). The Spartans record now stands at 3-4.
With the loss, Garretson falls to 0-7 on the campaign. The Blue dragons travel to Flandreau (Flandreau, SD) to play the Fliers in a A Region 3 bout on Tuesday, January 14. The Fliers go into the bout with a record of 5-3. Flandreau won 46-31 in their recent league bout against Tri-Valley (Colton, SD)
