The Pillow Academy Mustangs basketball team scored 45 points and limited the visiting Simpson Academy Cougars to 41 in the Mustangs non-league triumph on Saturday.

The Mustangs now possess a 15-5 record. They play next when they travel to Starkville Academy for a MAIS 5A District 1 game on Tuesday, January 14. Pillow Academy will confront a Volunteers team coming off a 52-41 non-league win over Greenville Christian (Greenville, MS). The Volunteers record now stands at 12-6.

With the loss, Simpson Academy falls to 16-5 on the campaign. The Cougars travel to Lamar (Meridian, MS) to confront the Raiders in a MAIS 5A District 2 game on Tuesday, January 14.
