California High School Basketball - Chavez ripped by Arleta

The Arleta Mustangs basketball team scored 84 points and held the visiting Chavez Eagles to 52 in the Mustangs league triumph on Friday.

The Mustangs now sport a 12-9 record. They put it on the line next when they host Verdugo Hills for a East Valley contest on Wednesday, January 18. Arleta will meet a Dons team coming off a 55-27 league win over Monroe (North Hills, CA). The Dons record now stands at 10-11.

With the defeat, Chavez moves to 9-11 on the year. The Eagles host North Hollywood (North Hollywood, CA) to face the Huskies in a East Valley game on Wednesday, January 18. The Huskies enter the game with a record of 13-8.
