January 13, 2023: Decatur, TX 76234 Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Decatur Eagles (Decatur, TX) and the visiting Castleberry Lions (Fort Worth, TX), saw Decatur's basketball squad overcome Castleberry by a tally of 56-42.
With the victory, Decatur improves its record to 15-9 on the campaign. The Eagles travel to Krum (Krum, TX) to confront the Bobcats in a 4A Region I District 8 challenge on Tuesday, January 17. The Bobcats come into the challenge with a record of 12-8. Krum won 63-39 in their recent league challenge against Springtown (Springtown, TX)
Next up, the Lions confront the Lake Worth Bullfrogs (Lake Worth, TX) in a 4A Region I District 8 challenge, on Tuesday, January 17. Castleberry will attempt to improve on its 13-8 season record. The Bullfrogs come into the challenge with a 16-10 record after their 55-50 league win over Bridgeport (Bridgeport, TX).
